How Can I Remove Dishwashing Soap From My Carpet?

My friend tried to help out; but she cleaned carpet stains with dishsoap. Now I’m unable to get the soap out!

Use a really spongy sponge. Buy that green Mr. Clean floor detergent (smells like lemons). Mix that plus a bit of water in a bucket. Use the sponge and scrub as if your life depended on it.

wet it down and suck it up with a shop vac over and over until the suds subside.

Wow, I am curious to the answer for this, my husband decided to rent a carpet cleaner and used liquid laundry soap and my carpet now feels stiff.

    maybe rent a carpet cleaner.
don’t use any soap or detergent. just use water to clean out the soap from your carpet. You may have to go over it a few times or until you’re satisfied.
dish soap was meant for dishes. carpet cleaning soap was meant for carpets. Tell your friend that..lol
