First ,chip or scrape off as much wax as you can. Next, take a paper towel and put it on top of the wax, put a hand towel on top of the paper towel and press a warm iron on the hand towel. The wax should melt and be absorbed into the paper towel. Replace the paper towel with a fresh paper towel when it is saturated and can absorb no more wax. Repeat until you have no more wax on the carpet.

Clear up any loose bits, then place a tea towel or something over the spill and iron over it.

Funny you should ask, just happened to me. Take a towel put it over the candle wax and apply a iron to the towel, do not leave it in one place, run it back and forth over the towel. The wax should transfer from the carpet to the towel. It does take a while, but it works!! GOOD LUCK!

If you don’t have and old towel, you could use cookie sheet paper and iron over it, any way you do it you have to melt the wax and transfer it to something else.

Put some newspaper, or blotting paper over in then iron the paper. It will draw the wax into the paper.
