How Do I Get Lory Poop From Eating Nectar Off Of The Carpet?

We have a black Lory and she eats nectar…When she poops it goes everywhere and it is impossible to get off of the carpet! We’ve tried our mini carpet cleaner and different solutions but it won’t come off….Any suggestions?

It’s better to avoid getting the poop on the rug in the first place than to clean it off. I hope it’s not a white rug. Temporarily you could put an old shower curtain under the cage & spread it out.or a paint drop cloth. Walmart and JoAnne’s fabrics sell clear plastic in upholstery weights that would work well or you could even get a plastic table cloth in a color to match your rug. You could even put down a piece of rug remnant down. If it’s a tripping hazard use some duct tape to tape it down (try this in an inconspicuous corner first lest you harm your rug but tape cant be any worse than poop. Even a nice piece of linoleum would work. You can always pick up the floor protection when company is coming. It’s your house. Do as you please. Another suggestion—move your bird off the carpeting. You can also get plastic carpet runners or those runners and entry rugs with the rubber backs
Have you tried to clean with Poop Off or one of the other enzyme cleaners? Many people swear by them.
