How Can I Get Craft Paint Out Of Carpet?
My children got into a bottle of red craft paint. They blotched it on my carpet in a few areas (a nice handprint, and few smears and a few really big spots). I tried using a spot remover to blot it up and it just ran and now my carpet is pink in some areas. Others I still have the blotches of red. As soon as I saw it wasn’t working I stopped. The carpet is a light beige with darker flecks in it and is a long fiber. The craft paint was water based. I tried a generic brand like resolve.

Rubbing alcohol can often remove dried latex or acrylic paints from fabrics and rugs when applied to a white cotton cloth and blotted and rubbed. As it lifts to the cloth, turn to a clean area so as not to redeposit it back on the carpet.
Try that
Or
Try the product ‘Greased Lightning’. use a soft bristled brush or toothbrush. Spray the product on and rub it in with the brush, let sit for about 20 seconds and ‘comb’ the carpet if pile, or brush gently if low weave.

Try some hand cleaner used especially for removing paint. My daughter spilled oil gloss kilz on my kitchen carpet, so right away I rubbed that on the carpet with a rag and it all came right up. Looks great. Couldn’t believe it. It was ruined anyway so I thought I would try it.
