How Do I Repair A Snag In My Carpet?

I have a new commercial grade carpet in my office. I was moving a filing cabinet and snagged the carpet. Now there is a long piece of fiber unraveling along the snag. I don’t want to cut it for fear of doing more damage. Is there a way to repair it or just protect it from becoming a big hole in my new carpet?

Cut it off as low as you can get with a pair of scissors. Don’t pull on the thread just snip.

If its a little plasticy, iron over it until the plastic melts
