How Do I Get Spilled Milk Out Of My Carpet?

Someone I live with spilled milk over the carpet and didn’t think to clean it up properly at the time. Can’t get the whiteness or the smell out now.

This really will work, dampen the area with warm water cover with baking soda, when dry vacuum up residue, if the area is a little white from the powder clean with a mild detergent, but the smell will be gone, also works on wine stains

Don’t use hot water, that’s all I know. It sets it in. I spilt potato bake in my car and it basically cooked onto the carpet. A good foam carpet cleaner should work. And remember, it’s not worth crying over.

This happened to me as a teenager. We got the stain out of the carpet but the milk had soaked through to the padding. The smell just kept coming back.
We had some success completely soaking the area in vinegar down to the padding and then washing the carpet several times with a carpet cleaner. Be careful not to soak through to the padding with water, it will mold.

You need to get on top of that problem quickly!
Half a bottle of Mr.Muscle with some extra elbow grease will get that out1
Remember that there is no need to cry over the spilt milk though!
