Suggestions On A 3rd Or 4th Color For The Couches Rugs And Accessories?

My new home has forest green carpet, white walls and honey wood cabinets and accents throughout. I don’t want to paint so I will keep the white walls. I am a single middle aged man. Does anyone have suggestions on a 3rd or 4th color for the couches rugs and accessories.

I’d like to stick with neutrals for the sofa and chairs. Then, pick-up your extra colors from the rug you select for accenting pillows, throws, and accessories. Look for creams, muted greens, soft yellows, and neutrals.

Congratulations on your new home. You already have a very basic natural color scheme that could feel a little cold unless you warm it up a little. Id recommend a warm natural toned leather sofa with a darker distressed leather chair to create some texture and balance the dark carpet. Accessorize this with lamps in a dark bronze finish or rustic wrought iron, offwhite shades with rawhide stitching would be a nice detail. Fur pillows or throws would add texture. Black and white nature photos on the wall would accent your choice of white walls nicely. Check out the sundance.com catalogue for some more ideas along these lines. So for the third or fourth color for the couches rugs and accessories I recommend tones of earthy brownish orange mixed with a darker cool brown texture, and a soft biege, with touches of black and white accents .
