How Do You Get Black Grease Stains Off A Carpet?

I came home from work the other day and inadvertantly walked in with my boots putting greasy stains on my carpet.
I am reluctant to clean until I know the best method to remove. If anyone could please assist on how ro remove the grease staind I would be forever in your debt. Thank you.

Try Swarfega. :) That is what I would do anyway.
“The new easy pump formula rapidly and effectively removes oils, greases, many oil based paints and general grime. Added moisturiser and a mild citrus perfume helps leave hands feeling fresh and smooth after use.
The advanced smooth gel is easy to apply and use, rinsing off completely and leaving no residue. Can also be used to clean up oil and grease marks on a wide variety of surfaces, e.g. carpets, upholstery and clothing.”

    Hi there jules,
Spray the area with a 50-50 mix of ammonia and water with a few drops of liquid soap added to it…..make this mix up in a spray bottle. Don’t let the fluid sit for more than a few seconds. Use a vacuum for wet use (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!) to suck up the stain. Repeat until the stain has gone. This process is the same as what the professional use.
Next time: TAKE YOUR BOOTS OFF! Lol
    All the best :o )

well i’m not sure exactly what kind of grease it is, but if its mechanic / heavy grease, which i have dealt with before,
you can take some wd40 to spray on it, to loosen it up and use a plastic scrub brush to help, then when its loosened up, i used to use 409 to cut the oil and grease from the carpet, its one of the best cleaners i know of, and neither the wd40 nor the 409 will hurt the carpet, then rinse well with water,
it may take a few times it get it all, depends on how much you have in the carpet, but it will come up and safely for the carpet
to rinse you could use one of them carpet shampoo’ers that you rent, but don’t use their shampoo’s untill you are certain you have all the grease out.
oh rinse with hot water, not boiling, but as hot as you can handle it safely, some straight from the hot water faucet is plenty hot enough. if you can put your wrist in the hot water and it not burn you, then its safe for the carpet.
