    Peroxide and baking soda as a paste and rub with tooth brush. Allow to dry and vacuum. It will disinfect the spots, too.

    More than likely a good shampooing would work wonders. A good steam cleaining would be even better.

    I think you mean boogers. Wow how did that happen? Maybe you could rent a carpet cleaner to assist you in cleaning the carpet.

    Rub in a bit of eucalyptus oil and brush with a firm toothbrush, this should remove the nasties as well as clean the carpet.

    Never shampoo your carpet. Shampoo stays in the carpet collecting more dirt. Rent yourself a steam cleaner. Usually available at your local grocery store. Don’t use as much cleaner as they say to use. Use half of what they say mixed with water.

    Things You’ll Need: (pretend this is glue because it has the same texture)
    * Paper Towels
    * White Vinegar
    * Warm Water
    * “small, Sharp Scissors”
    * Small Knife
    Step 1:
    Scrape or wipe away excess glue immediately.
    Step 2:
    Blot fresh glue with paper towels while it’s still wet. Focus on lifting the glue directly off of the carpet fabric.
    Step 3:
    Scrub the area gently with a piece of cloth dipped in white vinegar.
    Step 4:
    Soak the area with warm water and repeat step 3, if necessary.
    Step 5:
    If the glue has already dried on the carpet, try trimming the top layer of the pile with scissors.
    If this does not work try using shaving cream/gel on the spots do a slight warm water spray on the spot and then rub the shave-cream into the spot and leave overnight. In the morning take a warm towel and wipe the spot clean!

    Buggers, boogers… well either way, just the same, I would rent a carpet cleaner.
