How Do You Remove Candle Wax From Carpet?

Last night I was burning some candles and some of the wax ran off the table and on to my carpet. Can someone please tell me how to remove it without messing up my carpet? Thanks so much!

I do this on occassion — try putting a thin cloth (like a bed sheet) over the spot – then put a hot clothes iron on it until the wax melts then try to get your fingers under the spot and squeeze it onto the cloth. The lighter the color the better this works – if you had a candle with alot of dye in it and it transfers onto the carpet try the double stain removers with the oxy stuff in it – usually that does the trick.

First use ice to make sure the wax is nice and hard then chip out as much as possible. Once that’s done lay to towel or rag you don’t care about over the spot and apply heat with either an iron or hair dryer. Use the towel to blot up the melted wax.
Repeat until all the wax is gone.

Use something that has low heat with no flame. A iron or a steamer of some kind.
