What Paint Color Would Go Good With Dark Green Carpet?

I am interested in painting my room. I have dark green carpet and curtains. My dresser is dark wooden brown and I have 2 pieces of furniture that are cream with gold trim and my bed frame is black metal.

I would consider something to lighten and brighten and neutralize the space such as a nice light sage green or a lovely pale gold. Stay away from anything too dark or bright. You can add pillows or even trim to your drapes to spice up the color (orange?). I usually try to find a picture/artwork/fabric with the color I have in it (dark green) and pick out the other 2 colors from the piece. It’s a great decorating trick professionals use. Good luck, great question & godloveya!

I would say stay away from any dark colors. In fact, I would also recommend staying away from medium colors. Too much of the darker colors is going to make you think that you are living in a dungeon. I would agree with many of the other people on here and go with a beige. You can also consider going with pastel colors.

A pale orange sherbert would look fantastic.http://www.countryliving.com/cm/countryl…http://backgrounds.mysitemyway.com/wp-co…http://backgrounds.mysitemyway.com/wp-co…
That give you an idea of the pallet.

probably beige or grey like a rich colour grey so it dont look so pale and gloomy
Maybe you should go to paint shop on your comp and draw out your room and just test all kinds of colours for the walls so you at least have an idea of what it looks like. it might be fun:)

Experiment with purples. They go great with dark greens and browns. It might be tricky to find the right shade at first. Its worth trying it though.
Its a very unique combination, my gf did it and it looks amazing.!

medium to dark beige… your room has a lot going on… beige is the only color that sounds like it could make everything cohesive and half elegant.

Tan. With carpet with that strong of a color, I think you want something light and subtle. Tan (or something like it) would be nice.

A medium brown tone would compliment that.
    Maybe yellow as well.
    Tan or gold too.
Very beautiful layout of your room :)
