What Is The Best Cleaning Method To Get Rid Of Carpet Sets That May Have Set In?

I need someone whose had the same problems and found the perfect solution. My carpet is stained with old powerade stains and what not. Need to try to remove it since I live in an apt complex. What would you all recommend?

Apply neutral detergent (dish soap).Press a white towel(or cloth onto the stain) and observe transfer to absorbent towel.Apply alkaline detergent (Ammonia. 1 tablespoon of ammonia with 1/2 cup of cold water.). Press with a cloth again until you do not get any color transfer out of the stain. Apply acid solution (vinegar 1 tablespoon of white vinegar with 1/2 cup of cold water.).Rinse with cool water and blot with a cloth again. This should work as i have seen it work many times on stains of this nature. If it doesn’t then the stain has set and you should call a higher end carpet steaming company to inspect and remove any remains of the stain.
p.s. DO NOT USE BLEACH (in any dilution) OR OXY CLEAN ON YOUR CARPETS!!!!….. Bleach is obvious but oxy clean is peroxide based and will strip the color from your carpet leaving permanent stains in your rug.

Turtle Wax Power Out I found to be very good for spot cleaning. But if you have a lite carpet color it may show clean spots. Learn how to fade them in.
