Any Suggestions For Getting Rid Of Mites From Furniture And Carpet?
Does anyone have any suggestions for getting rid of mites from carpet and furniture? I don’t know what kind of mites they are, but I’ve noticed bites from them on both me and my caged pet rat (we just moved into a new place about a month ago). I bought a bunch of sprays and such, but I was wondering if anyone had anythnig that specifically worked for them? Thanks!

*Food Grade* Diatomaceous earth is both nontoxic, &, effective {as long as the environment will allow the critters to dry up!). It works by cratching their outer skeletons, & is super absorbant. . . As they dry out, they die of dehydration!

But don’t use too much on a carpet, as it reportedly can gum up a vacuum sweeper.

I’ve only known one person with a rat for a pet, before.
I hear that they are as smart as any dog!

what worked best for me…was getting a spray bottle, putting a few drops of either menthol or eucalyptus oil, and put it in water.. spray that on the carpets, or get the powder they use for fleas, spread that out. then vaccum. it works great.
