What’s The Best Way To Remove A Dye Stain On A Cream Colored Carpet?
I have a black area rug in the bedroom I rent that has left light bluish/green streaks on the cream colored carpet in certain areas. In hindsight, I should have used a rug mat, because it seems the dye in the area rug has bled slightly. Should I call a professional carpet cleaner, or are there any effective over the counter products/methods I can use?

You might try Spot Shot in a very small area to see if you can budge it before calling in the pros. I’ve seen it do some pretty amazing things, including removing ground-in lipstick that had been eaten by a big dog and then deposited back on the rug and ground in by said dog. http://www.wd40.com/brands/spot_shot.htm…
If it works on a small spot, it’ll probably work on the rest. But if it doesn’t, you may be making the pro’s work difficult or impossible — which is why I suggest a trial in a small area.

You also might try OXY CLEAN. Not a dye.
