Does Anyone Know How To Remove Old Red Stains From Carpet?

I can not replace my carpet in my home & I have a red kool-aid stain at the top of the stairs (a rug won’t work), a friend had someone get similar stains out with a liquid, an iron & a towel. Does anyone have a clue? Please help!

Have you tried Spot Shot? It does a fairly good job.
Koolaid is actually a fairly good dye, and nylon carpet is a good dye scavenger, so you may be in trouble there.
Can you sacrifice a bit of carpet from a closet to replace the stained carpet? It’s not a huge job to splice a new piece in.
