What Is The Best Way To Spot Clean Off-white Carpet?
I have just moved into an apartment w/ carpet & dark spots show up in different places.

pour some lemon juice and a little salt , leave to dry in then sponge with warm water .

The best thing I have ever found for treating old and new carpet and clothing stains is Spot Shot. It is a carpet cleaner.
I have used it to clean automotive grease that was years old out of my mother-in-laws carpet, and the stains did not return.
However, if the stains were a liquid (coffee or coke) the spot shot will take the stain out of the carpet but it may return from the pad.
It is the best product that I know to recommend and it is very easy to use.
