How Do I Clean And Fluff Up My Beige Carpet In Our Rental?
Our carpet is only a year old but it is light beige and looks flat and old. How do I get it fresh, fluffy and looking new? I have a carpet cleaner it just never seems to get the desired results.

There is an item called a carpet rake.
You rake the carpet then vacuum then clean it then rake it again…
They are relatively inexpensive. http://www.janilink.com/product_info.php…

Don’t waste time and money using store-bought carpet cleaners. Make this easy and effective all-purpose carpet cleaner with items you have in your home.
Step 1
Combine 1/4 c. mild liquid dish detergent (containing no bleach or alkaline) and 1 gal. warm water.
Step 2
Mix thoroughly.
Step 3
Select a spot in the carpet that is out of plain view, and test the solution for carpet discoloration.
Step 4
Lightly spray solution on carpet in small, workable areas (preferably 2 to 3 square feet), or dip sponge in solution, wring lightly so that the sponge is not dripping and sponge solution onto carpet.
Step 5
Use a medium-bristle brush to scrub solution into fibers.
Step 6
Dip a clean sponge into clean water, wring lightly and go over worked area to remove excess solution.
Step 7
Repeat until no soap comes off onto sponge.
Step 8
Move onto next area, and repeat steps.
Step 9
Blot all areas dry with a white, clean, lint-free towel.
Step 10
Use a toothbrush for stubborn stains.
Step 11
When dry, use a stiff-bristled brush to raise the nap and fluff carpet.

Try getting it professionally steam cleaned. At home carpet cleaners don’t work the best – they’ll get out obvious stains, but they can also leave a lot of dirty residue that will weigh the carpet down and make it look dingy.
If your carpet is only a year old, you should be able to get it to look a lot better. Good luck!

You could rent a steam cleaner (Rug Doctor is good) or have it professionally cleaned. If you try to clean it yourself, be sure you vacuum it several times before you start the cleaning.
