How Do I Get Stains Out Of Carpet?
I have what I believe are mildew stains in my white carpet. When my kids spill on the carpet, I clean the surface immediately. It appears to be clean, but within a day a dark spot develops. I have several of these spots in my living room. I have tried to use Resolve carpet stain remover with no results. Any advice?

They are probably mystery stains which develop when you use a cleaner on the carpets that leaves a residue. Dust and dirt are attracted to detergent residues and develop what is know in the carpet industry as mystery stains. It probably isn’t mildew unless you left a liquid based stain in the carpet, it soaked into the padding through the backing and mildew was able to grow. If you don’t hop the liquid up to the surface by placing a terry towel over the liquid and literally hop on it, it can mildew. If that is the case, make a paste of borax and water, agitate it into the stain with a brush, allow it to dry and vacuum it up in a day or so. Borax will kill mildew. An even faster approach is to get DampRid’s Mold and Mildew Remover and Protector spray it on, agitate it with a brush, place a terry towel over it and hop up the excess. If it is a mystery stain, you need to use something like Folex or Tech carpet/upholstery cleaners which neither leave detergent residues or void the stain warranties on carpet.

If Resolve Carpet Cleaner does not work, you probably have to call a carpet cleaning service company out that can remove these kinds of stains.

try with lemon juice pour lemon juice and salt let dry in , then sponge with warm water lay a towel over the wet patch with a heavy object on top . This will help soak up any remaining water from the underside of your carpet ,if you have a humidifier this would help dry the carpet a bit quicker, But you might have to have your carpet steam cleaned and dried
