1] paint walls the yellow or green of the comforter, whichever you like more
2] get a light beige or off white rug – makes room look bigger, will adapt to changes [ and sets off dark furniture ]
3] repeat the grren and yellow in throw pillows, lamps/shades, vase, ornaments, candles/holders
4] add one metal – brass or chrome – for accessories, pic frames, mirrors

the walls could be a very pale sage green, and the carpet an ecru color.

Never match a piece of cloth to your walls. The carpet should match the furniture. light brown to a cream color. Egg shell white, or also a creamy color will go with anything for wall paint. Then you will never have a problem matching anything.

Paint your walls a light yellow and choose a very neutral carpet. You won’t have the comforter forever, but the carpet will be there for a long time. The yellow in the walls would match lots of different bedding sets in the future.
