You will never be able to dry it. Even if you could, it will shrink. Removing and reinstalling will be a problem for you. As far as how much a carpet shrinks, it can be several inches. It may still be reinstalled but that depends on how much stretch it was given on the original installation. If it was stretched to max, you may not be able to reinstall it. If the carpet is wrinkled now, then it still can be stretched. Rent a carpet cleaning machine. They're not that expensive. If it’s wall to wall carpet, NO.
