How Do I Make A Light Blue Carpet And Brown And Gold Furniture Work?

I am moving into a house with a pale blue carpet. But my couch is chocolate brown, my curtains are brown and gold and I have an antique gold mirror and pictures frames on the walls. How do I tie these colors in together? Like what color throw pillows should I use for the couch. Should I buy a big area rug to cover up as much carpet as possible?

Keep what you’ve got, the way you’ve got it.
Add some light blue, gold, or brown throw pillows, or combos of these, and some lt. blue candles, vases, and other small accessories.
Gold goes with everything, and brown is pretty versatile too.

Chocolate brown and light blue go very well together. An area rug with those two colours in it would tie it all together but don’t worry about covering up a lot of the blue. The frames are easy to deal with. You can paint them. If you cannot buy new curtains just dye them. I would look for some blue and lighter brown cushions for the couch. Have fun.

Get rid of the curtains, and keep the brown and light blue theme. Buy a can of antique silver spray paint and spray the gold mirror and picture frames. Silver looks much better with chocolate and light blue than gold does. You can use painters tape to mask off the mirror, frames

add a few light blue accesories to your living room like maybe a light blue lamp or some candles, or you can add some more bright yellow colors,(blue and yellow are complimentary, so they go together) or you can just change your carpet, what ever you like

I assume slip covers are out of fashion now?
Try some light blue throw cushions for the couch.
And/or drape a light blue afghan over the couch.
You could also get some light blue gauze curtains.
Mount these over the glass to diffuse the light.

Chocolate brown, pale blue, gold and cream is a good combination.
Bring it all together in one large piece of wall art.
