What To Do About Gap Between Baseboards And Carpet?
I recently purchased a very old home and in one of the rooms there appears to be small gaps in between where the baseboards meet the carpet. I have noticed bugs crawling in at these gaps. What can I do about these gaps around the carpet? I have taken care of a few gaps else where in the home where there were hard wood floors, but I’m not real sure what to do about the carpet. Thanks in advance.

I once lived in an slab floor apartment with really thin carpet. I used fuzzy weather stripping and poked it into the cracks with a flat butter knife. It was cheap and quick.

peel up the carpet around the edges temporarily while you squirt “great stuff” in the crack. it will seal it from bugs, and drafts. then let the carpet back down after the stuff is dried. be careful, it expands while it dries so dont use too much!
