The Carpet In My Bedroom Is Beige, What Color Paint Should I Use On The Walls For A Great Look?
I want to repaint my bedroom for a newer look. I already have beige carpet in there which i am not replacing, so i need a paint color to match the carpet. Any suggestions?

Beige goes with everything so you can be as bold as you want to be or as demure. All colors will go with a beige carpet. It’s all up to you to select what your favorite is in a very wide array of paint hues. Be daring, I say.

Your options are endless….the hot colours right now are reds(burgundy) or greens….best to go to paint store and check out swatches…so many neat colours nowadays to play with….

The beauty of beige carpet is that is is a classic neutral. Paint the room any color you like!

well, it depends to some degree on the tone of beige you have. there are red beiges, green beiges, and yellow beiges. The best way to tell is to hold up a paint chip next to the carpet and see which one brings the color to life. Sage green works very well with a green or yellow beige. terra cotta, salmon, peach, and coral work well with a red beige. A light neutral brown or tan will work with any beige. sky blue works well with a yellow beige.you also need to take into account how the new wall color will work with existing furniture, window treatments, and bedding.

hmm probably pale green that would look nice. use pale colors to make the room feel comfy and if you want the room to look wild then change the carpet. or paint the walls white.

Beiges are very versatile and go with everything. What is really neat is that Beige comes in all sorts of different shades. Beige Gray, Birch, Bread, Cappucino, which is very close to Terracotta, Caramel, more golden Caramel or known as Caramel 1, Chalk, Chateau, Dew, Dover, Dusty Beige, Dusty Peach, Dutch Linen, Fawn, Field, Genseng, (a dark brown), Kashmir, Light Beige, Light Tan, Lima, Madeira, Meadow, (pinkish) Mexica, Milkshake, Nougat, Pale Oak, (yellowish), Plage, Powder, Rose Stone, Taupe Gray, Wheat (a dark golden color) and Willow. You could keep with the Beige Theme, as you can see you have a wide range of colors to choose from; whatever you do don’t get a color to match your carpet or you’ll end up with the boxed in feeling or you could go into the browns and earth colors. Since all colors go with Beige, you can paint your walls Blue or Pink, Green, Mauve, Light Purple or whatever. If it’s a fresh look you are after go for the country colors to give your room a fresh look; these are the lighter colors. Throw in a few bold colors to give the room a bit of a punch.
See If you can locate a Changing Rooms CD (it’s loads of fun); on it they talk about the most popular looks, Urban, Classical, Natural and Country with examples and so much more or look up Changing Rooms on the internet. Below I have a real good source for the program (it doesn’t air anymore)
Good luck.

great neutral coloured carpet…so yeah, match a colour from your bedpread. if you are planning to buy a new bedspread, buy it BEFORE you paint, it’s way easier to match a paint to it, rather than the other way around.
i like bold crazy colours but do remember that it’s your bedroom so you want it to be restful/relaxing for you. i had a hot pink room in one of my apartments and it was like waking up in a big vagina.
