What’s The Best Carpet To Install For A High End Rental?
I have a two bedroom, two bathroom condo with a view of the park in Pacific Heights, San Francisco. It’s a great neighborhood, and I need to replace the carpet. It is a relatively higher end rental at $3,000/month, and my wife and I do want to move back there in 5-10 years as well. What type of carpet should one install you think? And how much would the carpet and installation cost on average for 1,000square feet? Thanks.

Any 100% nylon carpet will hold up the best. They is a zillion to choose from. From a low tight napped carpet to a long shaggy look. With proper care( the best is a certified carpet cleaning company) . You ll get the longest life from a carpet. Look and shop for the longer warranties (15 years and up) that have anti matt / anti crush built into them . If you want the longest life get a life time warrantied rubber pad. But a good 8# pad or higher will help w/ the life of the carpet. this will vary a bit w/ the actual carpet you chose but thats a general rule of thumb.. Frieze’s (sp? I never can remember how to spell it) is a very nice high end look and will hold up great. Don t rule out a few hard surfaces. Ceramic is high on my list for best floorings GL

If it is a high end rental then you should put in hardwood..something more high end..easy to clean and looks great…and it keeps with the high rental price…or you can go with tiles..ceramic, porceline, or slate…more durable.
