How Do I Get These Spots Out Of My Carpet?

There’s a trail of brown spots in the carpet near my door. They weren’t there when we moved in, but have no idea what they are, my best guess is that it’s from a leaky trash bag.
I’ve tried Resolve, Borax, and some random carpet cleaning product from Sears along with a lot of scrubbing.

I know this thing that really works. You can get at the dollar store or any place. It’s called AWESOME CARPET CLEANER…..or something with AWESOME in it. It comes in a red bottle…& it’s only a dollar. You just spray it on…leave it for a minute & then scrub with a rag really hard…its should go away, if not lighten up.

Rent a “Rug Doctor” and use some Oxyclean in the mixture, the stains will be gone.

What color is your carpet? Try putting on gloves and get on your hands and knees and scrub with some Oxy clean.

    do this
take about 1/8 cup of of non-sudsy ammonia.. mix it with 1/2 gallons of water… spray on… let set 5 minutes… blot then wipe.
It works for just about everything.

Well, at least they’re not creamy white stains, eh? It could be worse.

I had a problem with some very small but noticeable brown spots in my carpeting in the past. I tracked it down to some new top coating of black top. Even the smallest piece can do real damage to carpet and even linoleum. I used backing soda on the linoleum but had to carefully clip the spots out of the carpet. I am hoping that is not what you are dealing with. I think what you used should have taken out trash leaking stains. You could try Bissel carpet cleaning products. I like the new Oxy Gen2 that you use with bissel cleaning solution. I have had good luck with that on badly soiled carpet. (Pets and children stains). Good luck!
