Can I Put New Hardwood Floor Over Old Hardwood Floor Instead Of Carpet?
I assume the hardwood floor in the house I’m buying is bad for various reasons but there is carpet over it now(carpet in bad shape). Can I just pull the carpet up and install new hardwood myself right on top of it? Thanks!

If its actual hardwood, you’d be ahead to simply refinish it. Be a lot less expensive than purchasing a whole new floor.
Basic steps are to sand it down, apply a filler, stain, and then top coat. It’s not too difficult to find a contractor in this line of work, if you’d rather not tackle it yourself, and they should have it done in just a few days (have to allow for dry time between the steps)
