I think a light tan with white trim might be nice.

i’d go with white or ivory, shades like that. you can paint one wall summery green, but not too bright. or you can wallpaper a wall with paper in same colours..
it very much depends on what mood you want to create

Take a sample piece of carpet from some unseen place like a closet and take it with you to the paint store. Then you can place the color sample sheets on the carpet and pick what you like or have someone there give you some ideas.

Orange does go good with pink but… you could also use white or red, or black. I mean red is hot with any color, especially back and pink. And white and black go with any color great, except I thinkthey’re too plain. So I would go with the bright red.

My personal opinion is white is best; it won’t compete with the carpet or risk clashing with it. best of luck choosing the color! :]
