What Color Carpet Goes Well With Red And Maize Colored Walls?

I just painted my new loft. Three maize walls, with a red accent wall. Now I have no idea what color the carpet should be. Help!

Beige, tan, white even…..be sure any carpet in those familes however, do not “turn” yellow looking with your walls…take samples home for a few days and look at the color at DIFFERENT times of the day…..
When I was selling high end furniture, one of my BIGGEST pet peeves was people taking fabric samples OUTSIDE to look at them…I always asked them if their sofa (or chair or whatever) was going to always sit in our parking lot on a sunny day???? If the answer is “no”..then you need to see this in the light at YOUR house, and at DIFFERENT times, as colors will change “hues” with the time of day and amount of natural or artificial light….
Taking home lots of samples can give you an idea of what color you need to go in…it may be something you hadn’t even considered or even would have had you only seen it in the store…

A cooler color would be best. Perhaps a green. Either that or a neutral. Take a look at your eixsting furniture and see what cooler hues you have in the patterns

I would definitely go with wood floors. If wood floors aren’t there you can purchase them at a home depot or lowes. Then throw some beautiful throw rugs down, much nicer look especially for a loft. If you have concrete floors the wood flooring can go right over the concrete. There are all different styles of wood and prices. Very cool

I would personally go with something subtle like a beige/cream color. The last thing you want is too many strong colors in a room–especially if you would potentially sell. Neutral colored carpet is almost always a safe bet becuase carpet is expensive unlike paint.

how about a dark brown (chocolate). You could also do what I did and add an accent rug that encompasses the colors of your furniture as well as the colors of your walls.

I would use a soft pink or a shade of green. Would then look like a flower with green leaves.

Why not go with hard wood floors? Today’s floors are beautiful as well as easy to maintain. When you decide to repaint, you won’t have to worry about finding a color to match your carpet!
