How Can I Stop My Cat Clawing The Carpet?
My cat has plenty of scratching poles and boards, which he uses as well. I do not want to have him declawed. And squirting him with water DOES NOT work.
My cat is a much loved pet but is totally destroying my carpet. Is there a remiedy of something I can place on the carpet? Help I need advice on what to do.
He is an inside cat, so I have tried clipping his nails, but that just seems to make him want to do it more – to sharpen his claws I assume.

How Do I Stop The Cat Attention Seeking And Clawing Carpet?
Each morning our cat is meowing outside our door and clawing/ripping up the carpet because we close the door to sleep. As soon as she is let in she climbs on the bed to sleep. To save the carpet i want to leave the door open but I don’t want to sleep with her.

How Do I Get My Cat To Stop Clawing My Oriental Rugs?
I bought my cat a scratching post in hopes that she would use it rather than my lovely Oriental rugs, but I still catch her sharpening her claws on them. I have rubbed her paws on the scratching post and petted her afterwards, but that isn’t encouraging her to use it. I can’t keep an eye on her 24/7 because I work.
Declawing is out of the question because it’s cruel.
