We’ve got some old dirty burbur carpet-there’s a subfloor but I’m not sure what its made of-what’s a good price for real wood hardwood floors?

What’s The Best Carpet To Install For A High End Rental?
I have a two bedroom, two bathroom condo with a view of the park in Pacific Heights, San Francisco. It’s a great neighborhood, and I need to replace the carpet. It is a relatively higher end rental at $3,000/month, and my wife and I do want to move back there in 5-10 years as well. What type of carpet should one install you think? And how much would the carpet and installation cost on average for 1,000square feet? Thanks.

How Do You Install Carpet Panels?
I really can’t find any info on installation online. I have even been at hardware sites and was given a generic explanation. Do you remove your old carpet?

New Carpet…would It Help Or Hurt To Leave Old Pad Under A New Pad And Then Install The Carpet?
I am purchasing new carpet and have removed the old.
The original pad appears to be in good condition (resilient)
except where it was crushed under the bed.

Can I Install Carpet Over Exposed Asbestos Adhesive?
My cousin recently asked me to renovate an apartment for her. Unfortunately, her husband began removing the linoleum with a floor scraper before he was informed that the underlying adhesive had asbestos in it. All the tile is gone now and most of the adhesive has already been stripped away, but there’s still quite a bit that’s exposed and half scraped away. What should I do? Do I need to pay the loads for a professional to come in and finish the job or can I just lay carpet over all this asbestos?
