We aren’t trying to make a statement with the carpet, just want something basic. We will be living in the house a few years so it has to hold up. I can’t think of any obvious reason for lots of stains (like untrained pets in the house), but our mid-priced carpet looks worse from stains than from wear. No pets, babies, or special demands on the carpet. Recommendations of any sort appreciated.

I moved into a house with plush green carpet and my couches are a darker green. The carpet was from the 90’s when hunter green and mauve was in.
How can I decorate it to make it look more modern? I was thinking jungle since there is so much green. LOL Please Help!

The room is carpeted and i am looking for a smooth transition once i add a door. Probably adding a regular door on hinges. I’m building it by exending existing walls already carpeted up to. What is the best way to go about this without ripping up all the carpet. Can i build over existing carpet..frame it right over it?
