How Do I Tell If My Carpet Is Nylon Or Polyester?
I just had carpet installed and had selected a nylon carpet. After checking the sample that I got when I paid for the carpet with what was actually laid, I noticed that they are two different carpets. I’m wondering if they sold me a nylon but installed a polyester. How can I distinguish between the two?

How Can I Tell What Type Of Carpet Is In The Basement Of The House I Bought?
Basement carpet got ruined during the recent storms in the midwest. I know the insurance adjuster will determine what it is and what it’s worth, but I’d like to figure that out independently to ensure it’s a fair value.
I have a piece of the carpet that had a label on the back of it, with a Griege number (dye lot?) and some other numbers, though no brand name. Can I figure out what it is from that?

How Can You Tell If A Carpet Is Of Good Quality And A Good Choice?
I have a traditional/cottage style home (very comfy and cozy) and light tone wood floors throughout except for the bedrooms, which are carpeted. I am looking for a quality carpet just for the bedrooms with style and cozy comfort, but at a reasonable price. Any ideas? Brands, types, etc.? Thank you so much!!!! We have neutrals and soft greens as wall colors throughout.

How Can I Tell If The Carpet In My Apartment Was Recently Cleaned?
The management office for our apartment told us the carpets would be cleaned a few days before we moved in. Yesterday (Sunday) was our move-in day, however, the carpets don’t look as though they were cleaned yet. I called the office today and the office maintenance log says the carpets were cleaned, but I’m not sure this is accurate. How can I tell by looking at the carpets whether they were cleaned or not? There are still lots of furniture marks in the carpet and some stains. There are also no lines where the machine would have passed on the carpets. I have two small children who literally live on the floor all day, so I want to be sure the job was done right!
