Removing Glued Carpet To Lay Vinyl Tile?
I have carpet glued to my basement floor. I need to remove the carpet so I can lay vinyl tile. I imagine the glue holding the carpet will leave residue that the self-adhesive vinyl floor tile isn’t going to like. Can I coat it, can I sand it, or do I have to completely strip it? Any suggestions on a method for preparing the floor along with any recommended coatings or solvents would be helpful. Thanks!

Is Replacing Carpet With Ceramic Tile Something That A Not So Handy Person Can Do?
I just bought my first house. I love everything about it except for the fact that the carpet in the living room goes all the way to the front door….I want to cut out a section of it and put in a tile entrance way. I got a couple quotes from some professionals and they were all more than I’m willing to pay…I can do it myself for a fraction of the price but don’t want to scew it up…how hard is this?

What Is The Best Way To Get Carpet Glue Off My Tile?
the installers desided to get drunk or something and walk all over my tile floor with carpet glue on the feet. The business I went through said it would cost me money to have them come and fix it. It was their mistake in the first place right?

What Is Your Experience Or View Of Carpet Tile For A 1500 Sq Ft Lobby?
My wife and I live in a multi story condominium and the planning committe is recommending carpet tile for our main lobby. We can not find any to look at in any lobbys of condos or hotels. There is no padding and we think it might not have a desired appearance and how about cost? Is it more or less than roll carpet with padding? Thanks for your review.
