What Can I Put Under A Small Charcoal Grill To Keep The Heat From The Legs From Burning Carpet?

I am trying to use a charcoal grill with legs on a balcony that has a carpeted floor. What can I put underneath the grill that is fire proof that will not set my floor on fire or prevent the heat from reaching the carpet?

How Do You Install Padding Under A Rug Or Carpet?

My grandmother just purchased a new rug to replace her old carpet. It moves very easily so it was recommended that she buy rug padding and attach it to the floor under the rug. She’s worried that it will need to be stapled to the floor and in the event that the rug needs to be lifted/moved in a hurry she wont be able to move the padding, and it could get damaged.
So my question, more specificially: Is there another way to apply the padding under the rug without permanently securing it (ie: staples)? Or is there a special rug padding that doesn’t need to be stapled? And in your opinion, will this alternative way make the rug just as immovable?
Thanks!

Is It Easy To Remove A Carpet Temporarily To Replace The Carpet Pad And/or Do Other Work Under It?

Are there any implications, such as that taking the staples out and putting more staples in afterward could cause damage to the carpet from too many staple holes, or any other such implications?

How Do I Get Candle Wax Out Of The Padding Under The Carpet?

A candle of mine melted a hole out the side and leaked a TON of wax out onto the table and floor. I would say a good 5-6 ounces of wax was sitting in a pool on the floor when I found it. I did the best I could to slop up most of it but it must have leaked through the carpet and into the padding underneath. That area of the floor is very hard and I’m not sure how to get to it besides pulling the rug up. Is there a company that offers repair/cleaning service for things like this without replacing the whole carpet?

Can Something Be Placed Under Carpet Padding And Carpet To Deal With Sound Problem?

Sump pump under the bedroom irritates me when it goes off. The bedroom has a hard wood floor and I would like to carpet it to get ahead of this irritant. I believe vibration and sound are easily transmitted through the hard wood floors and there is not much subfloor in place. Should I have something laid under the padding to assist with sound control and if so what and where do you get it?

Where Is Water Under My Carpet In The Bedroom Coming From?

We recently moved and under my bed was sitting water on the carpet. When we pulled the carpet back, water was on the concrete. It’s not by the wall, and there should be no pipes in any of the surrounding walls to that room. (Room is far from bathrooms/kitchen). We lef it pulled back and it dried up over night. Mold was growing in the carpet pad, but not enough to suggest the problem was long-term. Also, the walls were not wet at all. What could it have been?
