What Wall Color Will Look Good With Pinkish Red Carpet?
I am moving into a house that has what I call lipstick red (dark pink/red) carpet. The walls need to be painted and I really don’t want to paint them white. Any suggestions??

Can I Build A Wall And Attach It To Carpet?
I want to build a wall in my basement. My house inspector found asbestos tiles beneath the carpet, so I’m reluctant to nail through the carpet, through the tiles into the concrete. So, can I use some sort of adhesive to attach the bottom of the wall to the carpet and nail the top and sides of the wall to the existing structure?

What Wall Color Would Go Well With Tan Carpet And Sage Couches?
This will be in a basement with some natural light (there are 2 window wells), but I still want a light color on the walls to make the area seem brighter. Would a light yellow work? Or should I stick with a tan a few shades lighter than the carpet? If other colors would work, suggestions would be appreciated!

How Can You Secure A Bookshelf From Leaning Forward On A Carpet Without Connecting It To A Wall?
The bookshelf is on carpet and there is no way to remove the carpet. I don’t want it to lean forward when I put the books on it.
